A few weekends ago we went to Ben’s parents’ house to celebrate Eloise’s 2nd birthday! (Eloise is Jack’s cousin – they’re only 4 months apart in age and looooove each other.) We had so much fun partying with our little social butterfly Moana lover! It makes me so happy that Jack has so many cousins who live nearby. I loved having my cousins around while I was growing up and I love that I am still close with them now that we’re adults and having babies. There’s really nothing like family, am I right? (I know I’m right 🙂 )
The day of Eloise’s birthday, we got up early and drove to Grandma and Grandpa Biggs’s house. We immediately got to work decorating with balloons and streamers! Those things can keep toddlers entertained for HOURS, let me tell you. I had the special job of baking the birthday cake. It was strawberry – made with REAL strawberries, people. Like, in the batter and in the icing. Remind me to ask my mom-in-law for the recipe because it was so good.
Liesle, Ben’s sister, is amazing at planning toddler activities. We played a modified version of musical chairs and listened to Moana and Frozen and Tangled songs and all fell on the floor when the music was paused. That way everyone won 🙂 It was so fun watching Jack and Eloise figure the game out and scream with laughter when we would all fall. Toddlerhood can be hard, but this stage is so much fun. I really love watching Jack discover and play. It’s great.
Sweet Eloise loved all of her presents – lots of fun Moana things, some play-doh, and some yummy chocolate! Jack also loved all of Eloise’s presents. Again, toddlers. 🙂 They both loved the cake! The rest of the weekend we spent outside on Grandma and Grandpa’s new deck and digging in their garden, painting, and playing. We always love our time with Ben’s family. Enjoy some photos from our weekend! Can you tell which ones are film? 🙂
Jack is signing that he wants Eloise’s presents 😂
